Louis Berger names Simon Hemming international chief financial officer

PARIS, France, December 2, 2015/APO (African Press Organization)/ --

Louis Berger (http://www.LouisBerger.com) has announced the appointment of Simon Hemming as vice president and chief financial officer for the company’s international operations. This is a newly established officer position driving financial performance for Louis Berger’s non-U.S. client programs around the globe. Hemming’s appointment follows the announcement of Meg Lassarat as the corporate chief financial officer (http://www.apo.af/Wwn1dw) earlier this month.

“The company has invested significantly in financial systems and processes during the past half-decade,” said Tom Topolski, president of Louis Berger’s international operation. “With Simon’s appointment, we will be able to drive a greater level of sophistication in our budgeting, tracking and forecasting models to support sustainable growth for our operation long term.”

Hemming brings extensive financial management experience to Louis Berger, including over 20 years of managerial experience with consulting, engineering, project management and construction service companies. Most recently, Hemming served as the financial officer for the Western U.S. and Canada at WorleyParsons. He has held previous financial management positions at Parsons, Fluor and for “Big Four” public accounting firm Ernst & Young. Throughout his career, Hemming has demonstrated excellence in financial governance for multinational firms backed by his deep knowledge of business systems and integration best practices.

Hemming, a British national will be based in Louis Berger’s London office. His global experience includes work in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America and the Middle East. He is a Chartered Accountant, earning his bachelors of accountancy at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and earning his post-graduate diploma in information systems at the University of South Africa.
