MORRISTOWN, NJ, November 19, 2015/APO (African Press Organization)/ --

Louis Berger (http://www.LouisBerger.com) has announced Meg Lassarat, CPA, as the firm’s new chief financial officer and corporate executive vice president. Lassarat brings more than 30 years of financial management experience to Louis Berger, including more than 13 years of experience serving as the CFO for a range of publicly-traded, privately-held and private equity-backed engineering and construction firms.

“Meg will assume the CFO role during a critical growth and expansion period, where her expertise driving large-scale corporate expansions, financial turnarounds and acquisitions will be an important asset to Louis Berger,” said Jim Stamatis, Louis Berger president and CEO.

Most recently, Lassarat served as the CFO and director at Kentz Engineering & Constructors, a $1.5 billion FTSE 150 London-listed engineering firm. Previously, she served as CFO at UniversalPegasus, International and Mustang Engineering, and as the principal for a boutique business consultancy focused on engineer-procure-construct  (EPC) and energy markets.

With nearly 20 years in the engineering and construction industry, Lassarat has a wealth of expertise driving large-scale corporate growth. Throughout her career, Lassarat has led more than 500 acquisition deals. Lassarat is a frequent contributor to financial magazines and publications, including the Economist, the Wall Street Journal, the Houston Chronicle and the Houston Business Journal.

“I am excited to join the Louis Berger team,” said Lassarat. “With an excellent reputation for global project execution and very strong brand recognition, I look forward to supporting strategic initiatives for our clients, partners, vendors and the whole Louis Berger organization.”

Lassarat speaks English and French fluently, and has global experience in Africa, Asia and Oceania, Europe, North America, Latin America and the Middle East. Lassarat, who will be based in Louis Berger’s global headquarters in Morristown, still finds time to stay actively engaged in her community, championing a multi-million dollar capital campaign to raise funds for a Girl Scouts of America summer camp focused on science-technology-engineering-math (STEM) disciplines.

Lassarat is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
